New Antibiotics for MRSA

Course Description
In this lecture I will discuss how the overall incidence of MRSA appears to be decreasing but it still remains an important pathogen. The FDA Guidelines for new antibiotic development in the field will also be examined along with a discussion on the available drugs to treat MRSA including both the "old standbys" and the newer More...agents. Risks and benefits of the different antibiotics will be explored.
