Course Description
HIPAA regulations require that all healthcare workers must have annual training in HIPAA. This session will review your responsibilities in protecting the privacy, security, integrity and availability of protected health information in all forms.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Understand how to respond to a patient request for a copy of their records.
- Understand your responsibilities after you send information to another doctor, hospital or anybody else the patient specifies.
- Understand what the differences are between covered entities, business associates and other entities where you may send patient information.
