Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage.
The Information We Collect
PICA is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. PICA collects information from our users at several different points on our website. This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on our website.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. Please note that we may occasionally make the information that we collect available to sister cultural organizations and may use our lists to form membership and other solicitation and informational mailings. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We always use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site. When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial or policy, we redirect visitors to a secure server. Your browser may notify you when you switch to a secure site. You will also be shown an icon, for example, a lock in your browser's status bar, indicating that your communications with our website are being encrypted for your protection. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
Storing of Credit Card and Checking Account Number(s) for Online Payment
PICA does not store your credit card number(s). We may retain and use other nonpublic personal information about you in order to conduct financial transactions authorized by you. For the purpose of on-line credit card payments and electronic check payments, nonpublic personal information may also be stored by PayPal, Inc. (PayPal), which handles the processing of all of PICA's on-line credit card payments and electronic check payments. Both PICA and PayPal are responsible for maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your information. When processing additional on-line credit card payments, we reveal only partial credit card numbers to prevent the entire number from being accidentally revealed to unauthorized third parties. However, the full number is sent to the appropriate processing entity when you approve payment.
You should take appropriate measures to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer, including not sharing your password with others and always logging off when you are done using a shared computer.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
